Newington College has lodged plans for a $173.5 million redevelopment of its Stanmore campus, with the proposal now on public exhibition.
The State Significant Development application covers a concept masterplan for four new building envelopes across the campus, plus detailed Stage 1 works at Sevington Courts. That first stage includes new indoor and rooftop courts, basement parking, landscaping and tree removal.
If approved, the redevelopment would increase student capacity by 368 students and support an estimated 444 construction jobs.
The 8.99-hectare site at 200 Stanmore Road is zoned SP2 Infrastructure. The application is listed as permissible with consent under current planning controls.
