A $159.2 million in-fill affordable housing project at 68-80 Banks Avenue, Pagewood has been approved, clearing the way for three new residential flat buildings up to eight storeys. The State Significant Development will deliver 224 dwellings, comprising 84 social housing units and 140 private market apartments, with a total gross floor area of 19,913 sqm.
The approved scheme includes a seven-storey building for social housing and two eight-storey buildings for private market housing. The maximum building height is 29.4 metres.
The project is expected to generate 557 construction jobs. The development will be delivered in stages and includes associated landscaping and infrastructure works.
The application was determined by the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 11 August 2026.
