$1.11bn Data Storage Project Approved for Guildford West

A $1.11 billion data storage development at 132 McCredie Road, Guildford West has been approved, clearing the way for a two-storey, 29,444 sqm data centre on a 7.17 ha site. The State Significant Development will deliver nine data halls, an electrical substation, switching station, ancillary office space, and associated plant and equipment.

The approved scheme includes 53 at-grade car spaces and 12 bicycle spaces, with no residential component. The maximum building height is 25.77 metres. The project is expected to generate 467 construction jobs and 60 ongoing operational roles.

The site is zoned E4 General Industrial, with data storage permissible with consent. No rezoning or planning proposal was required. Infrastructure works will include installation of services, drainage and creation of associated easements.

The application was exhibited from 9 May to 5 June 2025, receiving four submissions, all comments. The project was lodged by Goodman Property Services (Aust) Pty Limited.
