$90m Campsie Tower Proposal Seeks 101m Height Control

A $90 million shop-top housing proposal in Campsie is now on public exhibition, with plans for a 29-storey tower at 10 London Street and 43 North Parade.

The State Significant Development application proposes commercial premises beneath residential apartments on a 1,690 square metre site in the Canterbury-Bankstown local government area. The scheme would deliver 142 dwellings and 17,855 square metres of gross floor area.

The proposal seeks a substantial uplift from current planning controls. The Canterbury-Bankstown LEP permits a maximum building height of 27 metres on the site, while the Campsie Planning Proposal identifies 67 metres. This application seeks a 101 metre height control, equivalent to 29 storeys.

The application also seeks an FSR of 10.95:1, compared with the Campsie Planning Proposal’s base FSR of 2.4:1 and maximum potential FSR of 6:1 with incentives.
