Bankstown TOD Project Approved for 126 Apartments

The State Significant Development application for 30-34 Sir Joseph Banks Street, Bankstown has been approved. The project involves two residential buildings of up to eight storeys, delivering a total of 126 apartments above a single-level basement with 42 car spaces.

The approved mix includes one, two, and three-bedroom apartments. Notably, 84 of the dwellings are designated as affordable housing, with 56 to remain affordable in perpetuity and 28 for at least 15 years.

The site sits within the Bankstown Accelerated TOD Precinct, which was rezoned in late 2024. The project also includes services and infrastructure upgrades as required for the development.
