$361m Berry Park Seniors Housing Proposal on Exhibition

A $360.9 million seniors housing development at 20–100 McFarlanes Road, Berry Park, is now on exhibition, proposing 913 independent living units and associated infrastructure across a 96.5-hectare site.

The State Significant Development application seeks to expand the existing Berry Park seniors villages, adding new dwellings, a community centre, wellness centre, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, accessways, internal roads, stormwater works and open space.

The proposal includes 2% of dwellings allocated for affordable housing. The scheme provides for 1,376 car spaces and is expected to generate around 200 construction jobs and 40–50 operational jobs.

The application is accompanied by a concurrent rezoning request to facilitate the expanded use. The site’s total gross floor area, including existing villages, is identified as 170,000 sqm.

Berry Park Retirement Pty Limited & Coolboha Pty Limited are listed as applicants, with Berry Park Retirement Village Pty Ltd as proponent.
