A $125.9 million in-fill affordable housing project at 68-80 Beauchamp Road, Hillsdale has been approved, clearing the way for two residential flat buildings up to 31.6 metres in height. The State Significant Development application was determined on 11 August 2026.
The approved scheme will deliver 179 dwellings, including 100 affordable housing units, representing 45% of the total yield. The project includes demolition of existing structures, bulk excavation for a two-level basement, and provision of communal open space and landscaping across the 7,857 sqm site.
The buildings will rise 7-8 storeys, with a total gross floor area of 13,965 sqm. The proposal is led by the New South Wales Land and Housing Corporation and is expected to generate 441 construction jobs.
The assessment attracted 43 public submissions, with 36 objections and 3 in support.
